Course Description:

Using a case as a an example for good vs. poor treatment planning, we’ll review a patient who wanted a crown placed on an existing implant in the #8 position. Ultimately, he had comprehensive ortho to manage tooth-arch and tooth size discrepancies and periodontal therapy to manage gingival levels and implants. Hear how specialist dentists view a case, as opposed to general dentists. Learn how to communicate more effectively with your specalists in order to get better outcome from your dentistry.

Dr. Steve Ratcliff has practiced general dentistry for 41 years, and for the past 25 years he has focused his work on comprehensive adult restorative care and is regarded as one of the premier clinicians in the U.S. See his full biography.

Dr. Mark Gutt established his practice in South Florida in 1991, specializing in the treatment of gum disease (periodontitis), the prescription and placement of dental implants, and treatment of TMJ Disorder, a disease that affects the joints of the jaw and can result in significant pain and loss of function. Dr. Juan Carlos Quintero received his Dental Degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania and Degree in Orthodontics from the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF). During this time he also received a Master’s of Science Degree in Oral Biology. See his full biography.

Dr. Valentina Lyssova received her DDS degree from New York University College of Dentistry in 2005. She completed her postgraduate prosthodontic training at New York University College of Dentistry in 2008.
Dr. Lyssova earned a maxillo-facial prosthodontist specialist degree at theMemorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and completed her fellowship in implant surgery at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine.
